We are hiring! We are looking for a dynamic receptionist to join a professional team working with Dr Daphne Tosi, Medical Oncologist at Oncology West St John of God Subiaco Hospital.

Our Medical Secretary/Receptionist will be a dedicated, stable individual seeking long term tenure. We value experience and maturity as perfect partners to a fresh and energetic attitude. You will be a natural organiser – you will thrive in a busy practice, seeing solutions where others see obstacles. You will be a self-starter with integrity, meticulous presentation, and a cheerful disposition.

Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Medical Practice
  • Experience with medical software, preferably Genie

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Scheduling patient consultations, chemotherapy admissions and attending to enquires
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations
  • Medical typing and correspondence
  • Liaison with various hospital services, pathology and radiology
  • Liaison with Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers and governmental agencies e.g. DVA
  • Attending to doctors’ requests

  • Your personal presentation will be impeccable within the workplace
  • You will have a proven ability to show a patient, compassionate and empathetic attitude to our patients and their families in  stressful or difficult situations.
  • You will have demonstrated abilities in relationship management.
  • You will comply with Health and Safety requirements
  • You will undertake additional training and professional development when required.
  • You will support diversity in the workplace, and help us foster a caring and supportive environment for staff, patients, families and colleagues
  • You will have a proven ability to collaborate with the team and clients demonstrating a flexible and agile mindset to solve problems.

  • Excellent communication and social skills are essential  along with computer and technology capability.

This position requires our Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join us in this permanent part time role commencing late July 2024
